Dragon Interactive is a design agency in Los Angeles that amazes me with the high quality of their own website. Their name speaks true with their website being an interactive masterpiece as you navigate through the site and hover all over the place to see how the buttons and links interact with you.
You’ve got to stop and just appreciate how well all the bits work together. Dynamic gradients, shadows and highlights paint their online canvas with a technique/technology they call “Codename Rainbows”, which is a mix of JavaScript and CSS. As you browse through the website it feels like a flash site with all the animated elements and soft fades, but they use JQuery as well as their own technologies and techniques that are available for download at the Dragon Labs which in its own fits perfectly with the look and feel and will blow you away even further with the effects and illustration.
Make sure to check out “Codename Aphelion” which was an element that would have featured on the site, but was a bit expensive in terms of loading. It is simply amazing!
